Why Revive The Russian Lunar Program?

After the failure of the Martian space station Fobos-Grunt, launched in November 2011, the red planet stopped being regarded as the main object of Russian interplanetary research. The moon is now the new priority on the agenda, and there are plans to build an inhabitable station for scientific purposes on this natural satellite of Earth.
